Bit of a update on Beau’s truck, all the wiring has been done, and it now runs and drives. Only a few panels need to be painted and the front airbags need hooking up and then the final clean up before rego. Check out these great pictures Matthew Mead took from www.matthewmead.com.au

Small update however a lot has happened, the truck now starts and runs, it is 95% painted, the only things left for completion is finish airbag plumbing, brake lines, fit tail shaft and rego. New wheels and white walls should be here next week.

Some of you may remember this car from a earlier entry here but Harley has decided he wanted to improve it and go well a little more “el’ Psico” on it. So here it is and here are the facts. On the list are as follows:

• Suicide front end
• 36 Chev front and rear rails
• Chopped a further 1.5″ making the roof 6.5″
• A number of body mods to give it a seamless and flowing body lines.
• New floor/Channelled/body drop
• Brand new engine 383 Stroker engine, blown 6/71, 6 Carbies
• New rims and tyres (big white walls)
• Doors have been modified to delete the old style of “overlapping”
• Tubed braced chassis
• Tubed roll cage
• New F100 9″ Diff
• New Parallel 4 link double arm

I think you get the point that this “lil Physco wagon” is going to be “Off the Chain”! It is being built with no rules, no guidelines and to know genre status, just what Harley always wanted it to be. Stay tune for updates.

Its been a big week of collecting parts for the truck with Beauman making the check South at 4am Saturday morning to pickup the Trucks new heart, a fully rebuilt 350 chev set up for LPG. All the engine mounts have been made up for the new engine using a dummy engine and the engine bay is prepped and ready for its coat of paint that will match the Truenos (Wolverine) engine bay. The new engine has been cleaned up and painted in heat proof silver to match the new colors. The rear end is now all together with the airbags and 4 link all set up and in a full functioning manner. Next on the list to is to get some exhaust header plates to make up the extractors (Beauman will be making these) and the rest of the airbag system. This Truck is coming together very quickly!

Work on this XM has been slow as of the owner (Paul) has had many races meets on lately which has made it hard to make decsions without him, being that Paul is in no big hurry this has not been a drama. Here is some pictures of some of the work that has been done with making the tubs and inclosing the new chassis rails Mark made, the new quarter panels have been fitted and are ready for paint. We are now waiting to start the next stage of the rebuild.

Harley has been flat out on the C10 as of late, concentrating mostly on the chassis for obvious reasons with this thing now lower then Lindsay Lohans self esteem the only thing it is fouling on his the Earth itself. With new rear rails added which are mandrel bent 50×75mm rails with all custom bent tubing to brace added frame rails, one off custom made suicide four link, cantilever air bag suspension, all work done by Harley himself. He has also added a LS1 with a 6 speed box for good measure, the floor has been removed, the body and rust repair has been completely done and once the roof chop is performed it will be ready for paint.

The front suspension will be featuring tubular dropped A-arms which will give the car more negative camber to tuck the 22″ rims that are also on order.

So after torching a valve after a fuel pump let go mid slide at a drift meet earlier this month the Trueno has gone through some changes to upgrade it and make it ready for further abuse. With Beauman looking to not only compete in Drifting, he will now be giving some time attack and other normal forms of motorsport a go in the Trueno.

Beauman has been busy changing a lot of areas he was not happy with on the list he has removed the whole radiator support and made up a new tubular system with a hidden tubular crash bar, a new radiator shield and defuser, larger fuel lines, and a more intense fuel system to put up with the constant change in the Trueno’s motion, aftermarket inlet manifold and a top mount turbo manifold, not to mention the larger wheels, now running 15×10 -12 Superlights that will roll on Full Slicks for the circuit days its also now going to be running some of Beau Smalls lower control systems. Beauman recently acquired himself a new truck which will serve as a daily and a tow vehicle for the Drift car. It will be running a gas converted 350 chev, slam bags, and super lowness plus many other goodies. Stay tuned to see more!

Been quite busy as of late and we havent had much of a chance to update this site, but here are some pictures of Harleys new project for daily chores. Its a Chevrolet C10 that will be rolling on a Holden 1-tonne chassis, be body dropped and rolling on 22’s. Enjoy the pictures and we hope to have a update for you all soon.
